10.1 Window Management

The following commands are related to 3DMF document windows (main and side views). When Reserve Space For Utility Windows (see Preferences) is on, Geo3D leaves room on the right side of the main screen for its open tool palettes when creating or rearranging windows.

Stack

Stacks and scales (Default Window Size: “Small” or “Large”) every document window (main and side views) so that some part is visible. The active window remains the frontmost.

Tile

Geo3D tiles the windows in rows and columns. The last opened window appears at the bottom right of the screen.

Stack and Tile run separately on each screen.

Geo3D: main and side views (l’Institute Arabe)
In side views movement takes place along the world coordinate axes. The line of sight is parallel to the world coordinate axes. There are side view related settings in Camera panel of the “Options” dialog. The picture (“l’Institute Arabe” by Jean Nouvel) shows that orientation and navigation become much easier in such complex models.
